Our Very Own Molly Harmon Garnering International Praise
News cameras were rolling Friday night as Molly Harmon walked in to the Colonial Acres Events Center where she was greeted by cheers and applause from her family, friends and local supporters.
“What’s this for?” she asked when handed the mic. “I thought I was going to the bar.”
The event, which had been organized by Kari Kearney, was put on in celebration of Molly’s recent international award from LuxLife Magazine, which named her a Global Wedding Photographer. The panel picked Molly, the only winner from the United States, from a pool of over 7,000 candidates. Molly is the first photographer from the Midwest to have ever received this award.
Of course Molly’s talent comes as no surprise to those of us around town, it was exciting to see the world take notice, and the news cameras, of course.
The cocktail reception included a DJ, catered hors d’oeuvres, wine, flowers and of course, lots of Molly’s photography. A video with messages from Molly’s past clients served as a heartwarming reminder of what a valuable part Molly plays in our community.
